Bermuda Day 2, the Spider incident

Today is PERFECT, just perfect.  The sun is shining it's 21° c there's a very gentle breeze just cool enough to take the sting out of the hot sun.  It's awesome.  The view from our room is amazing.

So I sat out on the patio and painted my toe nails.  I was feeling a little obsessed about this, I don't know why, perhaps it was the fact that sandals where going to be my staple footwear for here or that maybe after leaving all the cold and snow behind I felt that my bare toes needed a coat.  Whatever the case they are now painted with pretty pink stars.

I am NEVER going to take pictures of creepy spiders again!!!!!

I was taking photos of the beautiful flowers and had to step of the path to take a photo of a gorgeous peachy red flower and when I stepped back I could feel a spiky thing between my toes and immediately thought "it's got me" one of those spiky spiders is between my toes and I can't shake him out.  "OMG I'm going to die"  At that point I think I would have cut off my foot rather than to have to flick the spider off me.  But a few very frantic shakes of my foot and I dislodged the big scary prickly seed of some kind.

Crisis averted, now if I could only get my heart out of my throat I'll be just fine. After I take a couple Tylenol for my now aching head.
